Hi, I’m Joshua.
I’m a traveler, storyteller, and someone who’s never been able to sit still for too long. I was born and raised in South Africa, and somewhere between the coastline drives, mountain hikes, and conversations with strangers, I found my heartbeat: adventure, people, and stories.
I’ve always believed that life is meant to be explored — not just the places we go, but the cultures, the people, and the special moments. That belief is what shaped Culture Quest.
My dream is simple: to create experiences that make people feel like travellers, not just tourists. To help others see the Cape (and the world) through a local’s eyes. And through my camera, to capture those raw, real moments of life — the laughter, the grit, the beauty — so they can live on far longer than the moment itself.
I don’t just want to organise tours or take photos. I want to tell stories — whether it’s a fisherman casting his line on the shore, a family discovering Cape Town for the first time, or a brand that has a heartbeat worth sharing.
For me, this isn’t just work.
It’s passion.
It’s purpose.

The Dream
Culture Quest is more than my personal journey—it’s a platform for others’ stories too. Our dream includes building a travel industry in Cape Town that honours and amplifies small tour businesses—guides, creatives, and community-leaders who know this place by heart.
I believe travellers deserve more than ticking boxes; they deserve experiences that connect them deeply to people, culture and place. That’s why I want Culture Quest to help reimagine travel as something respectful, immersive, and positive—for visitors and the local communities.
By supporting tours that benefit locals, preserve culture, and share stories that might otherwise go unheard, I hope to do something more than show beautiful sights. I want to help build something meaningful: tourism that sustains, inspires, and gives back—because for me, the real beauty lies in the people, in moments of connection, and in the change that stays long after the journey ends.
